When Your Pet Leaves You, It Doesn’t Go Away Completely

When your pet leaves you, it doesn't go away completely

Following the loss of your pet, the memory of all the things that hold you together will often come back to your mind. All the memories of walks in the park, group outings. But also the joy with which he greeted you when you arrived home. Your confidences and your moments of complicity and support. Winter afternoons under a blanket while sharing a moment of reading.

And also the memories of the early days. Perhaps how difficult the adaptation was. The first steps as companions of fatigue. The first outings. The first hugs. The first nonsense. The first annoyances.

At first, it’s hard. Everything around you reminds you of it and you keep thinking that things could have been different. You are told that the best thing is to look for a new companion. Just the idea is unbearable to you. Impossible. You will never be able to replace it.

When an animal leaves you, it does not go away completely. In your heart remains the memory of this cherished being with whom you shared joys, sorrows and inconveniences. You never told yourself that maybe one day will be the last. The last smile. The last hug. The last hug. The last day he looks back at you as a faithful and loyal friend.

Sadness is not a good companion

At first, the sadness is enormous and you think that you are never going to be able to overcome it. But one fine day you wake up and realize that the memory is still there, but it doesn’t hurt you so much anymore. The pain is bearable. The infinite memory.

Letting sadness overwhelm you and the emptiness in your heart and soul to overwhelm you will only make the tunnel you are in even darker.

sadness

When your pet leaves you, it doesn’t go away completely. Perhaps you will meet him in other circumstances or at another time in your life. It is also possible that this encounter will not happen because he is not there or because he will not cross your path again. But it is present in your heart. Like an indelible mark that will always accompany you.

Indeed, he is the most loyal companion you have ever had. The one who is with you at all times. He is never tired. He always supports you. Under any circumstances. If you are sad, he gives you his unconditional support. If you are happy, he celebrates it with you. He never abandons you  .

It’s a relationship with mutual benefit

Your relationship is reciprocal: he gives you all his affectation but he also needs yours in return. Indeed, this faithful friend has feelings and emotions. An animal is the best teacher of emotional intelligence. He knows how to perfectly express basic emotions: surprise, anger, disgust, fear, sadness, joy. He doesn’t need words. He is the perfect example of bodily expression.

It is true that an animal is the best medicine against loneliness. He is the best teacher to teach a sense of responsibility. The best trainer to help you understand your emotions.

When someone leaves you, they don’t go away for good. Indeed, this person is part of your family, of your life. He may have been with you since your early years and he has lived with you your first heartaches, your first job, your first kiss.

Always remember the lovely and sweet times from the past and give thanks for all the time shared.

However, some people may not understand that you can feel this way. Ultimately, it is not a person. But you know he only needs words to be human. Because you don’t need spoken language to hear yourself. Because you have a code for which the words are not necessary. Because he smells, thinks, and behaves better than a lot of people you know.

Whatever, the wheel of life does not stop turning. We must continue to move forward. That’s why when an animal leaves you, it doesn’t really go away. The learning he gave you and the unconditional love he gave you, you will have them forever.
